Week 6：We are Poet!

Now, we have chances to create poetry.

Lecturer gave us a picture with a word, and we can use the outlook, taste, feature or anything about it to combine with the word.

I just made short sentences…

 

1) Love  vs  Chili

Love is like chili.

You will try when you see that much,

You will cry when you eat too much.

 

2) Life  vs  Sport Car

Life is like a sport car.

Hard to get, fast to use up.

 

3) Man/Woman  vs  Garbage

Man is garbage.

They will listen whatever you say although is boring,

Eat whatever you cook no matter how unsavory. :)

 

4) Pain  vs  Ice cream

When you see Ice cream, you feel pain.

Sweet enough make you toothache,

Cold enough make you brain freeze,

Cream enough make you fat.

 

5) Happiness  vs  Time

When I feel happy, I feel old too.

Time flew away when happiness.

Week 6: When merge goes wrong…

How mergers go wrong?

Lecturer want us to draw a combination animal that combine 2 or more animals. And with a condition, when people saw it will just feel that is just wrong combination.

I draw few of them, but looks like all have the possibility to live on.

Finally, the answer is….Birdfish! Or Fishbird!

Looks disgusting!

But luckily if there is a Birdfish, it wont have a chance to live for even one second~:)

Week 5: Interesting Word Matching

This week, lecturer want us to choose 3 group of numbers between 00 to 99. And the number will represent a word.

I have choose 23 ,67, 85.

Then, we have to make a sentence and draw them out.

 

23= Lighting + Wind

I run as fast as lightning because of the strong wind.

67=Duck + Tree

The duck is sitting on the tree.

85=Oil + Root

There are oil coming from the root.

 

I combine them all into one …

Now, sketches for the term.

This is fun~

This is what we say creativity is, simply the act of making something new.

Week 4: Devil Me!

This week we have learn more about mind mapping.

I never know there are two kinds of mind map, which is Logical Mind Map and Associated Mind Map.

Later, lecturer ask us to draw a logical mind map about our dark and evil side.

So, this is what i draw.

Mind Map

Today we learn about what mind map is.

MIND: Follow your mind, not your heart.

MAPPING: Process of representation, exploration and establishing idea/concept or information on ‘paper’.

MIND MAPPING (introduce by Tony Buzan)

• A technique of generating idea and brainstorming.
• A tools that allows you to put info into your brain and retrieve when need it.

2 types of Mind Mapping: Logical Mind Map & Associated Mind Map

Logical Mind Map:

• concise way of listing & categorizing mass info.
• usage of images along words create interest
• relationship between words help trigger memories & reduce amount of note.

Rules of Logical Mind Mapping

• always have subject in the center of the page.
• more dominant than rest of words.
• different categories, colors, make it easier identify
• decide main categories

 

Although most of us have done a lot mind map way back in Alpha year, we not really know there are 2 types of mind mapping.

As idea from Logical Mind Map is stereotype and not new,

we need to get far away from the original word by using Associated Mind Map.

So today, funny Lecturer used Mortal & Pestle to show us how to get away from stereotype.

Stone>Heavy>Expensive>Girls>Trouble>?

Because from one word can link to a word that looks non related making Associated Mind Map fun!

Week 3：Avatar

My partner of this week in class exercise is Cheoh Chuan Zhen, currently studying Interface Design in Beta 3rd Semester. This time, we have to draw a avatar for the other one according 10 questions we simply give.

 

QUESTIONS :
(1) What color do you like?  Blue.
(2) What do you like to do when you are free?  Search for stuffz.
(3) What kind of shape do you like?  Triangle.
(4) What kind of animal is your favorite?  Dogs.
(5) When will you feel sad? When something sad happens.
(6) What kind of songs you prefer? Soft and nice songs.
(7) What poses you like to pose? Squat on my chair.
(8) Do you prefer people with glasses?  Acceptable.
(9) You like to drink Coke with Ginger or Ginger soda with Pepsi? Ginger Soda with Pepsi.
(10) Do you like to take cold bath in the morning? Yes!!

Based from the answers above that he had given, this is what i draw for his avatar~

Dancing Can of Pepsi (Dog Version)

As you can see, this is a combination of a dancing Pepsi can and a dog. He mention that he likes blue, Ginger Soda with Pepsi,  cold bath in morning and soft and nice songs~All of these made me thinks of cold dancing Pepsi can!

Besides, he likes dogs and always online searching for new stuffs…He is a curious dog for sure! With triangle nose!
